Today I will:

• Review chapter 2 through a quaker reading.
• Draw conclusions and make inferences about events and characters in TKAM by answering questions about chapters 2 and 3.

Take out:

Your calendar (or paper to write down due dates)
A pen or pencil
A piece of paper...Title it "TKAM Ch. 2 & 3 Review"
Another piece of paper...Title it "TKAM Ch. 4 HW"
HW: Your Boo Radley picture
Honors HW: Censorship packet (blocks 1 and 3)

Agenda:

-Evacuation drill procedures
-Calendar and Work Packet
-Log in to jserban.blogspot.com and sign up to follow the blog by e-mail
-Let's Play catchup! You have 15 minutes. Choose one of the following 4 choices:

1. I'm behind! I'm going to finish reading chapter 2
2. I'm behind! I'm going to finish my Boo Radley picture (Click here for directions)
3. Looking ahead: I'm going to watch the Screencast and take notes.
4. I've read ch. 2 and watched the screencast...I'm going to complete ch. 2 HW
5. **During this time, my aides will check your supplies and collect the Censorship Packet.

When finished with the 15 minutes, I will collect the Boo Radley pictures.

-Read Ch. 3
-Family Groups: Review Chapters 2-3
-Go over ch. 4 HW and begin reading

Homework:

1. Read chapter 4 and complete the homework slip - due Mon., 8/24
2. Log on to Google classroom and view the screencast on the Great Depression and background of TKAM. Label a piece of paper "Screencast Notes" and take notes as you watch. (The screencast is 9 minutes long, but plan on 20-30 minutes to watch, pause and take notes). - due Monday, 8/24
3. Complete the chapter 2 homework slip - due Mon., 8/24
