"The Test of the Great Bow" and "Death at the Palace"

Today I will: 
  • Define a new vocabulary word, and develop an example, non-example, draw a picture and develop a showing sentence using the vocabulary word.
  • Cite diction and detail used to create mood in a short passage.
  • Practice POV by writing from Penelope or Odysseus’ perspective.
  • Cite text evidence from a story to show irony by writing two evidence sentences.

  • Create a dialogue, using the storyline of “The Witch Circe” to demonstrate understanding of the elements of dialogue

Today's Agenda:
1. Bellwork Show-Not-Tell Writing
2. Put together Work Packet once you have finished your blog post and turn it in today
3. Read "The Witch Circe" as a class
4. Begin the Post-reading activity. Respond to the questions first as a group and then begin the shared dialogue on a Google Doc.

Homework:
Complete the Post-reading activity for "The Witch Circe" if you didn't finish in class
