Today I will: 

  • Write the definition, part of speech, example, non-example, and a sentence for a new vocabulary word.
  • Read an essay prompt and determine what the prompt is asking you to write about by completing a do/what chart.
  • Brainstorm as a class and then as an individual identifying initial and changed perceptions of characters in TKAM.
  • Read a teacher-created sample paragraph and identify various elements of an argumentative essay via a highlighting activity.
  • Begin reading Ch. 27.
