Today I will: 

-Define a new vocabulary word, and develop an example, non-example, draw a picture and develop a showing sentence using the vocabulary word.

-create a mini-dialogue that demonstrates understanding of the elements of dialogue and incorporates “show not tell writing”

Today's Agenda:

1. Bellwork Vocab: detain 

2. Introduce dialogue
3. Follow the directions on the dialogue document and create a group dialogue with the people in your family group.
4. Work on Essay Organizer

Homework:

ALL: Focus on one childhood memory and fill out the Essay Organizer - due Tuesday 5/3

Honors: Read your supplemental novel and begin to think of your motif (try to read 1/3 of your novel by next Tuesday.) You will write your first motif DJ in class tomorrow.
